Medical Assisting Curriculum Overview

This Medical Assisting degree program is designed to expose you to both the administrative and clinical aspects of a healthcare environment, and includes courses in medical theory and terminology, clinical procedures, medical billing, and anatomy and physiology. Medical Assistants work closely with doctors and are often the main point of contact with a patient. Medical Assistants play an important role in a well-managed medical office and have a variety of responsibilities.

Medical Assisting students will participate in clinical laboratory classes, where you can apply the knowledge you have learned and build real-world skills for today’s employers. You will also participate in an externship, which offers further opportunities to apply learned skills and competencies. Our hands-on medical assistant training will help give you the experience to succeed in a new medical assisting career.
